Privacy Policy

1. Who this policy covers
This policy explains how Orbits Global handles personal data for two kinds of people: account holders (you, if you sign up to build and publish a chat flow) and visitors (people who interact with a widget an account holder has embedded on their website). If you're a visitor and want to know what a specific website does with your answers, that's controlled by whoever owns that website — we process it on their behalf.
2. Information we collect
From account holders: your name, email, and password (stored as a salted hash, never in plain text) when you sign up; the flows, questions, and branding you create; and basic usage data needed to operate the dashboard.
From visitors, through a widget: the answers submitted in a conversation (name, email, phone, or whatever the flow asks for); the page URL and referrer the widget was loaded from; and a randomly generated visitor identifier stored in your browser's local storage, used only to avoid double-counting the same visitor across a session. We don't track visitors across other websites, and we don't use this identifier for advertising.
3. How we use information
- To operate the Service — render the widget, run the conversation flow, and deliver collected answers to the account holder's dashboard
- To secure accounts and prevent abuse, including basic rate-limiting on public endpoints
- To communicate with account holders about their account or the Service
- To improve the reliability and performance of OG Chat
We do not sell personal data, to anyone, ever.
4. Cookies and local storage
The widget stores a single visitor identifier in your browser's local storage so a returning visitor to the same site isn't double-counted as a separate lead. It doesn't use tracking cookies or share this identifier with any third party. Our dashboard uses standard session storage to keep you signed in. You can clear local storage in your browser at any time — doing so simply means the widget treats your next visit as a new visitor.
5. Sharing and disclosure
We share data only with the infrastructure providers needed to run the Service (currently Amazon Web Services, for hosting and storage — see below), and only to the extent necessary to operate it. We may disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Orbits Global, our users, or the public.
6. Where data is stored
OG Chat runs on Amazon Web Services, hosted in the ap-south-1 (Mumbai) region. Data in transit is encrypted (HTTPS); data at rest is encrypted using our cloud provider's standard encryption.
7. Data retention
We retain account and conversation data for as long as an account is active. If an account holder deletes a flow, conversation, or their account, we remove the associated data within a reasonable time, except where we're required to retain it for legal, security, or fraud-prevention purposes.
8. Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you. Account holders can manage most of this directly from their dashboard; for anything else, or if you're a visitor who submitted answers through a widget, contact us using the details below and we'll help, or point you to the site owner who controls that data if it's theirs to act on.
9. Children's privacy
OG Chat isn't directed at children under 16, and we don't knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has submitted data through a widget, contact us and we'll remove it.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the Service evolves. We'll update the date at the top of this page when we do, and for material changes we'll make reasonable efforts to notify account holders.
